Coastal Scents Brush Review

Hey everyone!
I thought I would do a little review for you guys.  I picked up some CS Brushes a month ago and have been working with them nonstop.  I was really hoping to have a great review for you, the price is super reasonable and they look nice but that’s about it for the pluses.  The brushes bled a lot when I first washed them.  They continue to bleed NOW and I have been washing them a lot!  Makes me really concerned about what I am putting on my face :(
The brushes are also not very soft.  They are a little scratchy on my face, doesn’t feel too nice.  I have continued to use some of them, so it’s not all bad but I definitely wouldn’t put my stamp of approval on them.
If you are starting out and don’t have any brushes yet, these would be a good starting place.  You will be able to experiment and test out all of the different shapes and uses of each brush.  If you are more advanced or are looking for brushes to use on clients, these probably shouldn’t be your first choice.
I am looking forward to reviewing more SIGMA brushes!  I should be receiving another one in the mail shortly and cannot wait to try it out!  Stay tuned for that review :)

Thank you for reading!

Kayla

Lip Scrubs

Hey everyone!
Now that summer is around the corner and we will be wearing more lipsticks, glosses, and balms I thought it would be a good idea to do a post about lip scrubs!  There is no point in wearing that beautiful coral lipstick if your lips are dry and flaky underneath...
I have a few suggestions for you:
1)      Lush makes a lip scrub that comes in 3 flavours and does a great job of exfoliating your lips.  The base consists of: Castor Sugar and Jojoba Oil
http://www.lush.ca/shop/products/bath-shower/lip-balms-and-scrubs/bubble-gum
2)      Bath & Body Works has a lip scrub by C. O. Bigelow in a mint green container.  I can’t find it on their website but I know it is at the store.
3)      Make your own!  It is really easy to make your own lip scrub... All you need is some olive oil and sugar!  If you want to get adventurous you can add oils like jojoba or mint but all you really need is olive oil and sugar.  Slowly add the olive oil to the sugar and make a paste, then apply to your lips and scrub!
Don’t forget to keep your lips moisturized after you exfoliate :)
Enjoy!

Dear 16 Year Old Me

Hey my loves,

I want each and every one of you to watch this video and allow yourself to really absorb the information it contains. Skin cancer is a terrifying disease and one that is absolutely preventable. Please remember that a tan is not worth cancer. There are many safe methods of getting that beautiful glow; bronzing mousses, gradual tanning creams, and makeup. There is no need for you to put yourself at risk. Tanning beds are a dangerous creation and you will suffer from using it in the long run. It may be in the form of wrinkles, burns, or cancer; none of which anyone wants.

Please watch this video and share this with as many people as you can. Knowledge is power and we need to educate the youth in this world and show them how serious skin cancer is and that a tan is NOT worth cancer.

Sunscreen can save your life, make it part of your daily routine!

Kayla

Sigma Brushes

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to share something exciting with you.  I am a new Sigma Beauty Rep and I received the travel size E25 blending brush and it is to die for.  It is SO soft and so dreamy.  I have actually  been choosing it over my MAC 217!

The full size Sigma E25 is $9 and the MAC 217 is $27, just to give you an idea.

I was a MAC fanatic and hated all other brushes, I'm not sure if it was the name that sucked me in or what, but I can HONESTLY tell you that Sigma has hit the mark here and has converted me from a MAC only lover to a Sigma fan.  I can't wait to try more of their brushes and start replacing my kit with Sigma brushes!

If you are interested in checking it out, please use my link!
