I thought I would do a little review for you guys. I picked up some CS Brushes a month ago and have been working with them nonstop. I was really hoping to have a great review for you, the price is super reasonable and they look nice but that’s about it for the pluses. The brushes bled a lot when I first washed them. They continue to bleed NOW and I have been washing them a lot! Makes me really concerned about what I am putting on my face :(
The brushes are also not very soft. They are a little scratchy on my face, doesn’t feel too nice. I have continued to use some of them, so it’s not all bad but I definitely wouldn’t put my stamp of approval on them.
If you are starting out and don’t have any brushes yet, these would be a good starting place. You will be able to experiment and test out all of the different shapes and uses of each brush. If you are more advanced or are looking for brushes to use on clients, these probably shouldn’t be your first choice.
I am looking forward to reviewing more SIGMA brushes! I should be receiving another one in the mail shortly and cannot wait to try it out! Stay tuned for that review :)

Oh no they bled and are scratchy? that's such a shame.. what colour are the brushes?
ReplyDeleteLittle Jo: the brushes are black with a red handle. They look nice and professional but they don't feel so nice on the skin. And whatever dye they have in them continues to bleed for a while :(
ReplyDeleteI've really wanted to try Coastal scents but it seemed to me that the shipping prices etc. were fairly expensive, did you find that? I really want some of their amazing colour pallets! By the way, thanks for following my blog, sorry for being so late on the thank you note! :) Your site is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMary, I apologize for the replying so late, my blog has been giving me problems lately! Anyway, the shipping is certainly worth it if you order a lot of stuff. But, if you only plan on ordering one or two things, the shipping can be a bit overwhelming.
