Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara

This product is absolutely GENIOUS!  At first I was a little resistant because I thought, “why waste money on bottom lash mascara, it can’t be THAT great...” well, I was wrong.  This product is great, more than great.  During the winter months my eyes water as soon as they hit the cold, with that being said, I usually have to touch up my mascara by the time I get to wherever I want to go.  Still, I thought this was just how it had to be.  Clinique answered my wintery watery eyes prayers and introduced us to the Bottom Lash Mascara.  The formula is brilliant; it coats each lash and separates them beautifully.  The brush is tiny!  Perfect for bottom lashes.  I had no idea my lashes were so long!  It doesn’t budge until I choose to remove it.  It is best removed with a cotton pad that is soaked in warm water.  Just hold the cotton pad against your lashes a few moments and *voila* the mascara slides off of your lashes in little tubes.  No fuss and no mess.  It is absolutely brilliant and I use it every single day!  This has become one of my “Holy Grail” products and I will certainly be repurchasing it as soon as it runs out!  And hey, for $12 it’s a steal!

  1. I love this mascara! It is one of my HG products, too! I love how tiny the brush is, and how I can now wear my beloved YSL Faux Cils mascara without it smudging under my eyes!
It's funny, I thought the same thing when I first heard of it! I loved it so much though I reviewed it on my blog too, hehe!

  3. Hey Kayla,

Glad you like Clinique's bottom lash mascara so much! Since you seem to particularly enjoy the long-wearing formula combined with it's ease of removal via warm water...I was thinking you would really like Clinique's High Impact Curling Mascara as well.

Have you tried this product? It has the same no smudge/long-wear easy removal formula, but its curved brush helps to lift and curl the lashes while the formula gives defined volume and holds the curl in place.

I have straight and rather short lashes which have always needed a visit from the lash curler if I want to even make applying mascara worth my while. Even with this step, I would often find that the other mascara formulas would let my lashes (and me) down as they would fall back out of the curl I created.

As a make-up artist I've tried ALOT of mascaras and even with my ties to Clinique and access to free products I had generally preferred the L'Oreal Voluminous line. But I am happy to say that finally - after over 12 years of trying many mascaras from Lancome to Lauder and back...I have honestly found a great Clinique product that works wonders for my straight, short and barely-there lashes.
